Hebei Media College is a private full-time ordinary higher education institution that focuses on media arts and is compatible with multiple disciplines such as art, literature, engineering, management, and education. It has been registered by the Ministry of Education and the school code is 12784.
The school was founded in 2000 by Mr. Zhai Zhihai, a representative of the 12th National People's Congress, the 8th National School Inspector, a member of the 13th Hebei Provincial People's Congress Standing Committee, Vice President of the China Private Education Association, and Chairman and President of Elite Group. In 2007, he was upgraded to the undergraduate level, and in 2011, he obtained the qualification of Professional degree's graduate enrollment. In 2013, he began to jointly train doctoral students with the Chinese Academy of Arts. In 2015, it was designated as a pilot university for "transformation and development" by Hebei Province and passed the undergraduate teaching qualification evaluation by the Ministry of Education. In 2020, it was named as a "Demonstration School for Transformation and Development" by Hebei Province and passed the undergraduate teaching review and evaluation by the Ministry of Education.
