Project description
Background: breast cancer is a tumor with high incidence rate and mortality among women all over the world. The lifetime risk of female breast cancer is as high as 12.3%, which seriously threatens the health of people in our province. Pathological diagnosis of breast cancer is diverse, and there are many difficult cases. International breast cancer molecular pathology and artificial intelligence have developed rapidly. At present, breast cancer molecular pathology diagnosis research in our province is not in-depth, and we need to further improve our breast pathological diagnosis through international advanced technology. The expected goal is to solve the difficult case diagnosis of breast cancer and further develop molecular pathology. The Pathology Department of our hospital is now a provincial-level key specialty and key discipline for medical development in Hebei Province, with the necessary conditions (equipment/personnel/funds). The Breast Center of the Fourth Hospital of Hebei Medical University is a national key specialty and a key discipline of Hebei Province. It is a multidisciplinary collaborative diagnosis and treatment center focusing on breast surgery, combined with chemotherapy, radiotherapy, pathology and basic research. It has three wards, 141 beds in total. In 2019, more than 2000 cases of breast cancer were surgically removed. The number of operations remained at the national leading level. The number of surgical specimens ranked first in Hebei Province and grew year by year. Our department has been responsible for the early diagnosis and early treatment of most breast cancer pathological specimens in Hebei for more than ten years. Technical difficulties/major difficulties It is difficult to diagnose difficult cases of breast cancer. The molecular pathology of breast cancer is not many, wide and deep. Solutions and expected objectives Through exchanges with foreign experts, solve difficult problems in pathological diagnosis of breast cancer, in-depth study of molecular pathology projects, and improve the development of artificial intelligence in the direction of molecular pathology. other
