The meeting pointed out that we should adhere to innovative ideas and measures to plan and promote key tasks, comprehensively improve the quality and level of foreign affairs in our province, and contribute to the promotion of Chinese path to modernization in Hebei, and accelerate the construction of a strong economic province and a beautiful Hebei. Firstly, we must solidly do a good job in international exchanges, firmly obey and serve the overall situation of national diplomacy, deepen the exchanges between our province and the state of Iowa in the United States, promote international medical assistance and international aid, and increase cooperation between our province and local governments of various countries in fields such as economy and trade, energy, technology, and industry to achieve mutual benefit and win-win results. Secondly, we must actively serve economic and social development, adhere to the principle of pragmatism, promote overseas investment attraction, focus on serving the coordinated development of Beijing Tianjin Hebei, the construction and development of Xiong'an New Area, the construction of free trade zones and comprehensive protection zones, and assist enterprises in our province to "unite and go abroad", and help them develop and thrive in overseas markets. Third, we should continue to expand the platform for foreign cooperation, carefully prepare and hold important foreign-related activities such as the China International Digital Economy Expo, the China Central and Eastern European Countries (Cangzhou) SME Cooperation Forum, the "the Belt and Road" Great Wall International Folk Culture and Art Festival, consolidate and expand the circle of friends in international sister cities, actively attract overseas high-end elements, vigorously promote Hebei, and constantly improve the popularity and influence of our province. Fourthly, we need to implement the overall national security concept, enhance our ability to prevent and resolve risks, and focus on safeguarding overseas security and development interests.
The meeting emphasized the need to adhere to and strengthen the comprehensive leadership of the Party, and to strengthen the main responsibilities and guidance of Party committees (party groups) at all levels.
