Academicians of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, 30 domestic and foreign doctors gather at Binyi Hospital

On June 16, the 2023 Mount Taishan International Forum for Young Scholars and the Forum for Young Scholars in the Biomedical Field of Binzhou Medical University were successfully held. The forum was hosted by the Education Department of Shandong Province, undertaken by Binzhou Medical University, and co organized by Academic Bridge. As a brand project for attracting talents and gathering talents in schools, this forum is themed with the theme of "You are on the 'Medical Road' by the shore of the sea", attracting talents to take root in Shandong, settle in Yantai, Leye Laishan, and build Binyi. The forum is held through on-site participation and online live streaming, with over 6000 domestic and foreign scholars participating in the forum both online and offline.

Professor Zhao Shengtian, the president, attended the opening ceremony of the forum and delivered a speech. Academician Zheng Zhiming, academician of the CAS Member and director of the school's health blockchain research center, attended the forum and made a report. The forum is chaired by Professor Wang Guangcheng, Vice Dean. Luo Jian, Secretary of the Laishan District Committee of Yantai City, Zhou Lianshun, Member of the UCPC and Head of the Organization Department, attended the meeting. Yu Teng, Deputy Director of Yantai Human Resources and Social Security Bureau, delivered a speech at the meeting. Chen Feifei, Deputy Director of the Talent Office of the Organization Department of the CPC Yantai Municipal Committee, made a presentation on the talent policy of Yantai. Pang Yucheng, Director of the Human Resources Department and Director of the Talent Work Office of the University, introduced the talent policy of Shandong Province and the University. Professor Hongwei, the representative of talents introduced by the University in 2019, Mount Taishan scholar and young expert, and Deputy Director of the Science and Technology Department, delivered a speech at the meeting. 30 high-level young talents from home and abroad were invited to participate in the forum, and some young scholars' representatives gave academic presentations. The main principals of the sub forum organizers, some discipline leaders, professional principals, young and middle-aged backbone teachers, innovation Team leader, and some graduate student representatives attended.

In his speech, Zhao Shengtian introduced the development history, basic situation and talent achievements of the school, and sincerely invited young talents to join Binzhou Medical University. He pointed out that the school closely revolves around the fundamental task of "cultivating morality and talents", continuously deepens the reform of the talent system, improves the professional and technical position evaluation and appointment system that emphasizes performance and contribution, and introduces regulations for the work of talent work leadership groups. At the same time, we will strictly implement the system of contacting high-level talents with school leaders, build a positive, flexible, open, and efficient talent introduction mechanism, and equip talent service specialists to improve the quality of the talent service system. He said that he hoped that young scholars would join Binzhou Medical University and work together with one heart and one direction. The school would build a high-quality development platform for everyone with an open mind, good environment and enthusiastic service.

Yu Teng said in his speech that since running a school in Yantai in 2002, Binzhou Medical University has actively integrated into Yantai and actively served the local area, making positive contributions to the development of health care in Yantai. It is hoped that experts, scholars and young talents attending the forum can enter Yantai and join the family of Binzhou Medical University through this forum. Yantai Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau will also firmly establish the concept of "school and local families" based on its own work reality, vigorously support the construction and development of binhai medicine, and strive to promote the formation of a good situation of school and local integration, interaction and win-win development.

At the opening ceremony, Chen Feifei introduced the talent policy of Yantai City to young scholars, and Pang Yucheng interpreted the talent policy of Shandong Province and schools. The newly introduced young expert Hongwei from the school shared his personal growth and development experience at Binyi in recent years.

After the opening ceremony, Zheng Zhiming, academician of the CAS Member, delivered a special report entitled SCIembAI - Cross scale System Intelligence. He brought a profound academic feast to everyone from three aspects: the challenges faced by artificial intelligence, cross scale system learning, and representative achievements. Academician Zheng Zhiming focuses on the characteristics of complexity science and introduces cross scale system learning theories and methods. Through key technologies such as small-scale rule cognition, mesoscale prototype modeling, large-scale situation analysis, and cross scale collaborative optimization, precise analysis and regulation of macro complex tasks can be achieved. Later, young scholars from well-known universities at home and abroad, such as University of Pittsburgh, Northwestern University and Xiamen University, made special academic reports on their respective research fields.

In the afternoon, young scholars jointly visited the Medical Research Center and research platforms of various colleges. At the sub forums of each college, invited young scholars gave academic reports on their research fields and latest research achievements. The college leader, director of the teaching and research department, teacher representatives, and doctoral students attending the forum had in-depth exchanges and communication.

This forum is an important measure for the school to implement the strategy of "strengthening the school with talents". The school will adhere to the problem oriented approach, strengthen the mechanism of "attracting, educating, using, and serving", fully leverage the platform role of the forum, attract talents from all over the world, and strive to create a new and higher level of talent gathering highland, contributing to accelerating the high-quality and connotative development of the school.
