On November 30, 2022, the seminar themed “Exploration on the Difference of Chinese and Western Culture in the Field of Training Compound Talents” was successfully held online. This seminar was sponsored by Hebei Huancai Education Technology Co., Ltd. under the guidance of Hebei Provincial Department of Science and Technology (Hebei Provincial Bureau of Foreign Experts Affairs), Hebei Education Department, and Hebei Education and Publicity Center.
Wang Zhongqun, Director of Foreign Experts Management Division of Hebei Provincial Department of Science and Technology, was invited to attend and address the seminar. As pointed out by Director Wang, this exploration and exchange seminar on the innovative training model of international talents was expected to bring about diversified teaching methods and global visions to the education field of Hebei Province, learn from and leverage the international education market, make the teaching content of the teachers in Hebei more plentiful, optimize the existing teaching methods, and improve the efficiency of cultivating high-level talents.
Experts in the education field from prestigious colleges and universities across the globe, such as the University of California, Concordia University, Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University, South African Council on Higher Education, University of Huddersfield, and the Assumption University of Thailand, more than 80 teacher representatives from colleges and universities in Hebei, such as Hebei GEO University, Shijiazhuang Tiedao University, Hebei University of Engineering, and Xingtai University, as well as students from Hebei studying in the world, gathered online to attend this seminar. Participants shared their views on and discussed the difference between Chinese and Western cultures in education and the new model for cultivating compound talents of higher education in the new era in multiple dimensions and from various perspectives. This seminar served to further broaden the international mindset of college and university teachers in Hebei, draw on the advanced educational concepts and methods of other countries, and encourage teachers of higher education in Hebei to explore innovative teaching models.
Ji Zhenqi, Director of International Cooperation and Exchange Division of Hebei Education Department, made concluding remarks for the seminar, with the hope of seeing all representatives from colleges and universities in Hebei could take this rewarding, productive seminar as an opportunity to train more higher-level international talents with advanced knowledge, competitive capability, and proficiency in English for the economic development of the province.
Leaders including Sun Yifang, Deputy Director of Foreign Experts Management Division of Hebei Provincial Department of Science and Technology, and Yang Bo, Director of Hebei Education and Publicity Center attended the seminar online.
The successful holding of the seminar themed “Exploration on the Difference of Chinese and Western Culture in the Field of Training Compound Talents” effectively broadened the global vision of teachers from colleges and universities in Hebei and accelerated their efforts to explore more diversified teaching methods.
