Tangshan Panasonic Industrial Machinery Co., Ltd. is a Sino Japanese joint venture jointly invested and built by Japan's Panasonic Group and Tangshan Kaiyuan Electric Appliance Group in August 1994, with a total investment of 8.4 billion yen and a registered capital of 3.2 billion yen. The company adopts world advanced management and technology, uses world-class manufacturing, debugging, and testing equipment, and produces welding machines, cutting machines, robots, laser welding systems, and related products with the trademark "Panasonic". The company was the first in the industry to pass the ISO9001 quality management system certification, and was the first to obtain ISO14001 environmental management system certification, as well as OHSAS18001 occupational health and safety management system certification. Since 1996, sales performance has consistently ranked first in the Chinese welding equipment industry. In June 1997, a donation was made to establish the "Tangshan Panasonic Environmental Protection Award Fund" in Tangshan City. As of June 2019, it has recognized more than 500 citizens who have made outstanding contributions to the environmental protection cause of Tangshan City. In 2008, it was recognized as a national high-tech enterprise and obtained the qualification of CNAS National Testing Laboratory in 2014. In 2019, it achieved sales of 1.07 billion yuan and profits and taxes of 120 million yuan.
