Tangshan No.1 Middle School, also known as Tangshan No.1 Middle School, was founded in 1902. Its predecessor was Yongpingfu Middle School and Huaying Academy in Zhili Province. It was one of the earliest secondary schools in modern China and the alma mater of the great communist movement pioneer Li Dazhao. For more than a hundred years, the school has cultivated a large number of outstanding people for the country. Academicians Li Shuhua, Li Shutian, Song Shuhe, Zhang Weizhen, Shi Zhiren, Li Yaojuan, Fan Weitang, Gao Runlin, Fan Weicheng and other famous poets Li Ying, famous calligrapher Zhang Biao, and Wang Dianru, "the father of titanium in China", all graduated from this school. The school is located at 369 Xiangyun Road, Lubei District, Tangshan City, covering an area of 255 acres with a total construction area of 127000 square meters. The China Canada International Class is a high school diploma education program jointly organized by the Ministry of Education of Nova Scotia, Canada. It is part of the overseas high school education program in Nova Scotia, Canada and is a Sino foreign cooperative education program approved by the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China and the Education Department of Hebei Province. The Nova Scotia Department of Education is responsible for selecting and hiring local Canadian teachers and sending them to our school for teaching. The teaching of the China Canada International Class is synchronized with the teaching of local high schools in Nova Scotia, Canada. The students enrolled in this project are included in our city's regular high school enrollment plan and the provincial student registration management platform, with separate registration, separate class arrangement, and unified management. The Sino Canadian high school cooperative education project is jointly developed and managed by both China and Canada. The Canadian high school diploma is recognized worldwide. Students can directly apply to universities in Canada or other countries with their Canadian high school graduation certificate and Canadian academic performance. The duration of this project is 3 years, with a total of 18 credits and 9 additional courses. A total of 14 credits are recognized, including 3 credits for Chinese language and 0.5 credits for physical education and computer science. Canada offers elective courses such as economics and sociology. In addition to offering subjects such as Chinese, mathematics, and English, Chinese courses also offer courses such as literary and historical appreciation, artistic appreciation, and sports elective courses.
