On June 15, Hebei Provincial Department of Science and Technology (Hebei Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs) held Hebei Provincial Overseas Talents Technical Project Release and Docking Meeting in 2022 in order to further implement the project-driven strategy, accelerate the flow of innovation elements and achieve accelerated integration and development of global economy. Guo Yuming, First-level Inspector of Hebei Provincial Department of Science and Technology, attended the meeting and made a speech through online video. The representatives of more than 500 institutions including High-tech Zone, Economic Development Zone, Free Trade Area, some high-tech enterprises, medical institutions and education institutions and responsible person of relevant department of science and technology bureau (foreign experts affairs bureau) in each city participated in the meeting.
The docking meeting, in the form of online and offline interaction, multi-field linkage, and government-industry-university-research promotion, made full use of “Hebei Global Intelligence Information”, gathered wisdom resources all over the world and the province, actively carried out accurate project docking, and practically promoted project cooperation, which was highly appraised by online audiences at home and abroad. The activity fully mobilized the resources of overseas workstations for introduction of talents and collected 158 high-quality projects. Through selection by the experts in all fields, 50 results of introduction of talents, high-quality projects and technologies were chosen for release and docking, involving 5 fields, i.e. information intelligence, biomedical health, high-end equipment manufacturing, education and health tourism, covering overseas technical resources of 10 countries, such as the UK, the United States, Canada, etc. It has achieved fruitful results and substantial results.
Comrade Guo Yuming said that the docking meeting was an important measure for thoroughly implementing provincial policy and deployment of promoting development through investment projects, an important starting point to promote the implementation of innovation-driven development strategy in Hebei Province, and an important way to contribute intellectual support to overseas talents for building a strong modern economic province and a beautiful Hebei Province. Hebei Provincial Department of Science and Technology (Hebei Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs) organized relevant high-tech enterprises, counties and districts, educational and medical institutions and scientific research institutions in Hebei Province to conduct a number of high-density, large-scale and precise docking negotiations, and collect a number of high-level, wide range and influential overseas talent projects, which has achieved good results. He hoped to take this activity as an opportunity to fully mobilize the enthusiasm of the province’s talent introduction system and carry out the release and docking of overseas talent projects in a wider range, wider fields and at deeper levels to further promote technological exchanges and project cooperation in the field of science and technology in Hebei Province, open up channels, provide services and build platforms for introduction and settlement of a number of high-end foreign experts in Hebei Province, and provide intellectual support for overseas talents to speed up the construction of innovation-driven, leap-ahead and modern Hebei Province.
The activity has attracted extensive attention at home and abroad, and more than one million people watched the meeting. It has exerted a profound influence on promoting international cooperation in Hebei and introducing overseas talents and technology projects.
