On June 6th, the Qingdao Overseas Chinese Federation, in conjunction with the Organization Department of the Municipal Party Committee, the Qingdao Science and Technology Bureau, and the Qingdao Commerce Bureau, held a cooperation negotiation meeting for overseas high-level talent projects.

From June 5th to 6th, Dr. Qiu Qiyu, Chairman of the US China Innovation and Entrepreneurship Alliance and Vice President of the US China United States Chamber of Commerce, led a delegation to Qingdao for investigation and research. In order to further deepen communication and exchange between the US China Innovation and Entrepreneurship Alliance and Qingdao, promote and recommend Qingdao's business environment, talent environment, and investment policies, and serve overseas technology projects and high-level talent introduction.

Guan Aihong, Secretary of the Party Group of the Qingdao Overseas Chinese Federation, briefly introduced the economic and social development of Qingdao, as well as the key work of the "three main lines" of real economy and investment attraction, urban renewal and construction, and optimizing the business environment that Qingdao is currently carrying out. She said that at present, Qingdao is striving to achieve the grand goal of building a modern socialist international metropolis in the new era. Focusing on building "six cities" and optimizing "six environments", Qingdao is comprehensively promoting high-quality development and a higher level of opening up to the outside world. The alliance focuses on promoting innovation and entrepreneurship, market transformation, technology exchange, economic cooperation, and common development between the United States and China. It has senior experts in biomedicine, new drug research and development information technology, artificial intelligence, financial management, and elite education Professors, doctoral and postdoctoral researchers, as well as young international students, are high-level talent groups that support the cooperation, exchange, and common development of science, technology, and economy between the United States and China. At the negotiation meeting, six guests, including He Ping, President of the International China Environment Foundation and Vice Chairman of the US China Innovation and Entrepreneurship Alliance, Feng Ling, Chairman of the US Shiyinuo and Advisor of the US China Innovation and Entrepreneurship Alliance, Yu Jianguo, President of the US China United States Chamber of Commerce and Vice Chairman of the US China Innovation and Entrepreneurship Alliance, and Huang Jiming, Ph.D. from Yunlin University in Taiwan, respectively promoted their cooperation projects, covering advanced semiconductor equipment manufacturing, water ecological environment protection Clean energy, research and development of new anti-cancer drugs, education and training, and other fields. The Talent Department of the Organization Department of the Municipal Party Committee, the Municipal Science and Technology Bureau, and the Municipal Bureau of Commerce respectively conducted on-site introductions on Qingdao's talent service policies, technological innovation policies and measures for benefiting enterprises, business environment, and investment promotion policies. Both parties stated that they will further strengthen communication and docking, promote the feasibility study of project implementation, and strive to achieve cooperation.

Guan Aihong stated that the projects recommended by members of the US China Innovation and Entrepreneurship Alliance have high maturity and strong feasibility for implementation and transformation. The Qingdao Federation of Overseas Chinese will fully leverage the role of the Federation of Overseas Chinese, coordinate with relevant functional departments in the city, provide one-on-one communication services, and strive to keep the projects rooted in Qingdao.
