This year marks the tenth anniversary of the establishment of a comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Mexico. On September 18, 2023, the China Education International Exchange Association and the All Mexico Higher Education Association jointly held the fourth China Mexico University President Forum in Beijing. The forum focuses on topics such as "the new normal of teacher-student communication in the post epidemic era", "collaborative development and new paradigm of scientific research cooperation", and "digital transformation of innovative technology empowering education". It deepens the practical and friendly cooperation between universities in China and Mexico in the post epidemic era, accelerates the two-way flow of teachers and students and scientific research cooperation, and jointly explores the opportunities and challenges brought by digital transformation of education to the high-quality development of higher education. The forum was hosted by Zong Wa, Deputy Secretary General of the China Association for International Exchange in Education, Luis Enrique Palafox Maestre, President of the Autonomous University of Lower California in Mexico, Jia Wenjian, Vice President of Beijing International Studies University, and Zhang Jincheng, Vice President of Xi'an University of Electronic Science and Technology. Liu Limin, President of the China Association for International Exchange of Education, Zhang Run, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of China to Mexico, and Jes ú s Seade, Ambassador of Mexico to China, delivered opening speeches. The closing remarks were also delivered by Luis Alberto Fierro Ram í rez, General Manager of the International Cooperation Department of the All Mexico Higher Education Association, and Zhou Lidong, Deputy Director of the International Cooperation Department of the China Association for International Exchange of Education.
Chen Wei, Vice President of Hebei University of Foreign Languages and Director of International Cooperation and Exchange, led a delegation to participate in the Sino Mexican University President Forum, and had exchanges and meetings with the presidents of 17 Mexican universities, actively expanding the educational exchange and cooperation between Hebei University of Foreign Languages and the University of Mexico. At this forum, Hebei University of Foreign Languages signed a friendly cooperation agreement with the Autonomous University of Lower California in Mexico, and reached preliminary cooperation intentions with multiple Mexican universities, enriching the cooperation achievements between the school and Mexican universities and deeply tapping the potential of cooperation between the two sides in the field of higher education.
