Hebei International Talent Exchange Association accompanied academicians of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences to visit and exchange ideas with provincial and municipal agricultural academies

On April 18, 2023, under the coordination of the Hebei International Talent Exchange Association, Vladimir Petrichenko, an academician of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences, visited and exchanged ideas at the Fruit Tree Research Institute of the Provincial Academy of Agricultural Sciences, accompanied by Vice President Bai Zili. Academician Petrichenko first visited the pear, apricot, peach, and grape demonstration park of the research institute and learned about the fruit tree research work of the relevant research rooms. Subsequently, discussions and exchanges were held with the leadership team of the Fruit Tree Institute, the director of the research room, and representatives of scientific researchers. At the symposium, Pang Zhaojin, the director of the Fruit Tree Institute, warmly welcomed the arrival of the visiting delegation on behalf of the research institute. Vice President Bai Zili introduced the basic situation of the Hebei International Talent Exchange Association, the overview of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences, the scientific research experience and achievements of Academician Petritschenko. Academician Petrichenko introduced his research direction, achievements, and cooperation with China, and proposed the need for in-depth cooperation with Shijiazhuang Fruit Tree Research Institute in preventing fruit tree freezing damage. Researchers from the Fruit Tree Institute interacted and exchanged ideas with Academician Petrichenko on relevant issues, laying the foundation for accurately locating cooperation points.

Through this visit and exchange, Academician Petrichenko has reached a cooperation intention with the Fruit Tree Research Institute, and the Hebei International Talent Exchange Association has also established friendly contacts with the Fruit Tree Research Institute. In the future, all parties will strengthen contacts and strive to promote the implementation of international cooperation projects as soon as possible, making more contributions to accelerating the development of the agricultural industry in Hebei Province.
