The First China Central Asia Agricultural Science and Technology Innovation and International Cooperation Seminar was held in Changji

On July 17, the first China Central Asia Agricultural Science and Technology Innovation and International Cooperation Seminar was opened in Changji City. Nearly 300 experts and scholars from China, five Central Asian countries and other countries along the "the Belt and Road" gathered together to discuss new opportunities for China Central Asia exchange and cooperation.

The seminar focused on strengthening China Central Asia agricultural science and technology innovation and cooperation, promoting the theme of high-quality agricultural development of countries along the "the Belt and Road", aiming to build a cooperation and exchange platform for agricultural research institutions between China and Central Asian countries, strengthen practical cooperation between China and Central Asian countries in various fields of agricultural science and technology, and promote high-quality development of regional agriculture.

On the same day, the Central Asia Agricultural Research Center of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences was inaugurated. According to Gao Lei, director of the Western Agricultural Research Center of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, relying on the Western Agricultural Research Center of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, the Central Asia Agricultural Research Center will coordinate the innovation resources of the academy, build a cooperation platform to promote the joint research, academic exchanges, talent introduction, technology output and achievement promotion of agricultural science and technology between China and the five Central Asian countries, and help China and the five Central Asian countries achieve all-round and in-depth agricultural cooperation and high-quality coordinated development.

At the meeting, China and relevant scientific research institutions and colleges in the five Central Asian countries signed a number of agricultural science and technology cooperation agreements, which will carry out cooperation in many aspects in the fields of Alkali soil management, livestock breeding, food safety and international education. Chen Huanchun, Chen Xuegeng, academicians of the CAE Member, Asazoda Nulali, president of the Agricultural science of Tajikistan, and many other Chinese and foreign experts and scholars made theme reports of the conference.

The seminar was co sponsored by the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences and the People's Government of Changji Hui Autonomous Prefecture, and lasted for three days. During the meeting, experts and scholars attending the meeting will also exchange and discuss topics such as Alkali soil management and development, water-saving irrigation, Pest control, animal husbandry and veterinary medicine, cotton biological breeding and comprehensive utilization, characteristic forest and fruit resources mining and industrial development status, and vocational education promoting Asia Europe agricultural cooperation and development.
