In order to accelerate the construction of offshore bases, promote international exchanges and cooperation within the province, and attract more overseas high-end talents, advanced technologies, and high-quality projects to gather at the base, on January 30, 2024, the International Medical Project Matchmaking Conference was successfully held, hosted by the Hebei Provincial Department of Science and Technology (Provincial Bureau of Foreign Experts Affairs), Shijiazhuang Municipal Bureau of Science and Technology, and Shijiazhuang High tech Industrial Development Zone Science and Technology Bureau. The Hebei (Shijiazhuang) Overseas Talent Offshore Innovation and Entrepreneurship Base hosted more than 60 representatives from domestic and foreign medical enterprises.
At the meeting, Dr. Cui introduced the non-invasive and precise monitoring system project for pan disease risk in Japan.
Dr. Liu, who graduated from the University of Delaware in the United States, has launched a wearable intelligent device project for limb movement monitoring.
Ms. Song, the project leader of the Canada International Medical Cooperation Innovation Center, recommended stem cell therapy projects from Sweden, genetic testing and personalized medical projects from South Korea, and spiral CT guided radiation therapy projects from Japan.
The new generation intelligent wearable walking robot project from Australia and the artificial intelligence based medical image analysis system project from New Zealand conducted roadshows. In addition, 30 international medical projects were also released on site, and leaders and experts from both domestic and foreign companies engaged in interactive exchanges on the practical application of the projects.
At the end of the meeting, two overseas returning PhDs signed a talent introduction cooperation agreement with the Hebei (Shijiazhuang) Overseas Talent Offshore Innovation and Entrepreneurship Base. Both sides will jointly promote the flow of scientific and technological innovation talents, technology, and information in Hebei, and promote high-quality development in the medical field of Hebei.
