China ASEAN Industry Docking Conference (Shenzhen) Held and Signed 20 Strategic Cooperation Framework Agreements
China ASEAN Industry Docking Conference (Shenzhen) was held in Shenzhen on July 5th. Representatives of enterprises and institutions from Cambodia, the Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, Singapore and other countries have signed 20 strategic cooperation framework agreements with representatives of over 30 emerging industry enterprises and institutions in Shenzhen and other places, with an intended cooperation amount of over 5 billion yuan.
The docking meeting consists of three parts: industrial policy promotion and business environment promotion, strategic cooperation signing ceremony, and regional and national open exchanges. The contracted projects involve fields such as commerce, logistics, warehousing, biotechnology, mechanical manufacturing, intelligent equipment, and information communication. Among them, Ruihao High Tech signed a contract with the Cambodian Business Center to build the "Beidou Cross border Logistics Intelligent System Cooperation Development and Operation Platform", and China Science Sinopharm Shenzhen Research Institute signed a contract with Rongde Group to build the "China Cambodia Joint Laboratory of Biotechnology and Regenerative medicine" project.
Since 2020, ASEAN has become China's largest trading partner, and China has maintained its position as the largest trading partner of ASEAN for 12 consecutive years since 2009. ASEAN is Shenzhen's second largest trading partner. As of now, Shenzhen Airport Port has opened 9 freight routes to the ASEAN region, with 96 inbound and outbound freight flights per week. From January to April this year, Shenzhen's imports and exports to ASEAN reached 163.96 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 6.7%.
In recent years, the cooperation between Shenzhen and ASEAN in emerging industries has been continuously deepening, with a focus on new energy vehicles, digital economy, energy electronics, and other fields. In the field of new energy vehicles, in March this year, BYD established its first overseas passenger vehicle production base in Thailand, and Indonesia and Malaysia also have a very good cooperation foundation; In the field of digital economy, Shenzhen and Singapore promote cooperation between Shenzhen and Singapore at the government level, while Tencent and Huawei provide cloud services in Singapore at the enterprise level; In the field of electrochemical energy storage, Shenzhen enterprises are the main participants in clean energy and energy storage in ASEAN. Huawei and Xinwangda are participating in the largest energy storage project in ASEAN built by Singaporean Shengke. Kelu Electronics, Guriwat, and others are collaborating with Thai energy companies EA.
On July 4th, at the opening ceremony of the China ASEAN Emerging Industries Forum, the Emerging Industries Cooperation Initiative (Shenzhen Initiative) was released, proposing that developing emerging industries is an important strategic choice for countries to achieve economic and social development. It called for regular forums to strengthen policy coordination, share development experience, and pragmatically carry out cooperation in emerging industries such as new energy vehicles, digital economy, and energy electronics, Jointly promote the development of the manufacturing industry and the real economy.
The docking meeting is hosted by the Shenzhen Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology, the Foreign Affairs Office of the Shenzhen Municipal People's Government, and the Shenzhen Small and Medium sized Enterprise Service Bureau, and organized by the Shenzhen International Exchange and Cooperation Foundation.
