It is reported that in 2017, Nanhai District introduced a national level high-end talent entrepreneurship service institution, providing full chain, differentiated support, and innovation and entrepreneurship services for talents. Since 2020, the South China Sea has actively seized new opportunities for global talent recruitment in the context of the epidemic. It has launched activities such as "Overseas Talents Returning to the South China Sea" and "Overseas Students Looking at the South China Sea" for overseas students, linking global students through online "cloud platforms", and organizing students to visit the South China Sea in depth offline, vigorously attracting global talents.
At this event, the support and reward policies for the "Blue Ocean Talents" innovation and entrepreneurship teams in Nanhai District were interpreted globally. The Nanhai District Talent Team Plan was implemented in 2012 and has played a positive role in introducing high-end talents, breaking through core technologies, cultivating emerging industries, and improving innovation ecology. The innovation team has attracted sales revenue of over 11.5 billion yuan, and 7 enterprises have purchased land and built factories, with a land purchase model of approximately 183 acres. The revised policy is more flexible in terms of support rewards. After the project is approved, the support funds will be disbursed in installments under a "horse racing system", with a maximum of 3.5 million yuan. At the same time, equity investment will be promoted for subsequent growth rewards, with a maximum reward fund of 3 million yuan, fully reflecting the service concept of "supporting the horse and sending off the journey" for innovation and entrepreneurship teams.
The urban environment and key industries in the South China Sea were also promoted during the event. Lin Bin, General Manager of Guangdong Yuanxin Regenerative Medicine Co., Ltd., as a high-level talent who has returned from overseas and firmly chosen to stay in the South China Sea, will share his entrepreneurial and psychological experiences on site; Innovation platforms such as Jihua Laboratory, Xianhu Laboratory, and South China New Materials Research Institute are offering "embroidery balls" to overseas talents; Representative industrial parks such as Zhongyan Taike and Xingzhongchuang have put forward sincere conditions for entrepreneurial land, entrepreneurial services, and talent apartments on site, hoping that talents can settle and develop.
